Unique Animal

I spotted this buck on the evening of September 6th in the Badlands of ND; he was a buck that I had seen the previous year and I was thrilled to see that he had made it yet another year! I returned on the morning of the 7th to find him feeding back into a bedding area. A failed ambush had me playing "cat and mouse" with this buck until 10:30 am when I was finally able to make a stalk that put me at 65 yards above of the unknowing buck. At such an extreme angle, I had to shoot as if it was a 50 yard shot. The great flight of the Wac'em Triton shot at a 45 degree angle downhill found its' mark. The buck piled up within sight.
